We want to thank those that were able to come to Foto Care last night! We had the pleasure of hosting an artist talk for professional photographer, Mark Mann! Specializing in portraiture, Mark has been working in the industry for a long time. He has photographed everyone from Woody Harrelson to Woody Harrelson, Peter Dinklage to Michael Jordan, Bill Murray to President Barack Obama. He's also taken on personal projects, including photographing strangers in the park and the characters of lucha libre (or professional wrestlers in Mexico.) Armed with his trusty Graflex 4x5 camera, named Meredith (you can see her below), Mark's style is not only unique, by iconic. Using peel-apart instant film with his camera, his photographs capture an old, timelessness and they are simply charming. Check out Mark Mann's work on his website here.
Introducing the crowd to Meredith, his sidekick and partner!

At the end of evening, Jim Wagner and Kelsey Fain of Leica were there to talk about the various Leica systems out there right now. As a safe measure, Mark will bring along a digital camera to photoshoots, often turning to Leica for it's amazing quality.
